à la Lauren Conrad.

This has definitely been my go-to hairstyle of late. Well, every Saturday night anyway.
And I am absolutely loving how simple it really is.
I keep a few tools handy for this style, but honestly, you don’t need much at all to master this look. I’ve done it before with only two bobby pins and an elastic – no product and using my fingers to tease. Easy.
Now most people will often use a comb to do their tease, but for this I would definitely suggest giving it a try with a good quality bristle brush. You end up with a beautiful ‘fairy floss’ look throughout and it really makes the style simply perfect.
So, the one-two-three step process?
1 Smooth back hair and tie up in a high ponytail.
2 Tease back the ponytail as much or as little as you like.
(Start small, get bigger, I say.)
3 Wrap the teased ponytail around the base, from front to back, pinning in place as you go.
For products you might want to throw in the mix: a dry shampoo can help dirty hair for body and texture; a light hairspray for a light hold; even a little gloss spray for finishing.
And if you didn’t get any of that, well, visual instructions are sure to do the trick.
